Kids, Tweens, Teens Sewing Classes

Instructor: Vicki

Children’s, pre-teen and teen classes are available. Children must be at least 8 years old and will be placed with other children of the same age.

Children will work with scissors until the teacher feels they are ready to use a rotary cutter. Students will use a sewing machine unless otherwise stated.

The following classes will be taught but not limited too:

pillowcases - drawstring bag*** - pajama pants*** -skirts - small quilts/wall hanging - pillows - hand sewing - fabric art*** - stuffed animals - book covers

Supplies will vary depending on project.

Class Fee: $15.00 per class ***

*** will have additional $5.00 kit fee (pattern, cording, stabilizer, ready to paint fabric supplied, elastic)

   Studio Sewing Machines are available for classroom use. Please reserve a     machine in advance. No fees charged.

 BASIC SEWING SUPPLIES:

All students will need to bring the following basic sewing supplies to all classes, unless otherwise stated in the class supply list:

•      sewing machine in good working condition
•      scissors
•      pins
•      marking tool(s)
•      rotary cutting tool (per teacher's request)
•      rotary cutting mat (per teacher's request)
•      piecing thread (neutrals work great - grey, taupe, beige)

IMPORTANT NOTES

The cost of materials and/or books are not included in class fees, unless otherwise noted.

Each student will receive a materials list and information sheet upon registering for class.

Students are expected to purchase the materials appropriate to their class(es) prior to attending class.

If you need assistance finding a local fabric shop, or need guidance in selecting materials, your class instructor will be happy to provide you with additional information and guidance.
